The Arai SZ open-face sport helmet, first introduced in 1988, has now evolved into the RAM-X. Featuring the VAS-Z Pro Shade System shield, the new design aims to facilitate glancing off impacts. The open-face design has been meticulously refined, optimizing ventilation, interior, liner, and shell, resulting in enhanced comfort for touring riders.
The new RAM-X sets a new standard for the next generation of open-face helmets. It comes equipped with the innovative ARAI Variable Axis Shield Pivot System as a standard feature. Constructed with lightweight, new resin compounds, the shell now fits lower on the head, improving the center of gravity and overall balance.
The large shield provides increased protection against bugs and wind, ensuring a more comfortable riding experience. The RAM-X is DOT approved and meets the FMVSS 218 safety standard. Its top ventilation diffusers are the same as those used in the esteemed Corsair X model.
The RAM-X also features the new Pro Shade Shield System (PSS) as a standard component. Additionally, it is SNELL-2020 certified, further reinforcing its commitment to safety and performance.
